William, all I have on the father of my grandfather (James Mack Bean) is what is entered on his death certificate and that is "J. H. Bean". Therfore it could have been the "Jesse" you mentioned in your post. If you go onto ancestry.com and look at the public "Bean Family Tree" owner CBOOKER (my daughter)you will be able to see all I know.
