I believe my ggg gf George W. Bean was the son of this couple. My George was born in Poplin, a1814. Originally I thought he was born 1824 from his 1850 census record (eventhough he was clearly absent and in California), but now I have his age at death in Dec 1850 San Francisco Ca, as age 36 and that fits better with his wife who was Mary A. Rand born in Chester, NH 1816 too.

They married in 1842 and had 4 children. George was a 49er who went in search of gold to San Francisco.

I know Obediah was the only Bean in Poplin, NH during 1820 and apparently moved to Lowell and died about 1833. I know he had a son George according to a researcher from Clan MacBean who I can't seem to contact directly, but I don't know how she knows that....(there is no birth record) I also know they (Clan MacBean) has very little information on Obediah's George. I'm pretty sure...I've got it, and it would be nice to figure this out for sure. I have alot on George's family.
