Bean Family Genealogy Forum

I am researching a George Bean in my family tree and saw this George Bean on the 1850 Census as being in the Tennesse State Penitentiary. I am not sure this is the same George Bean I am looking for, but thought I would post what the Tennessee State Library and Archives sent to me. If anyone knows who his wife was, please contact me at simdog61@yahoo.com. I am sure he is part of the Bean family of Blacksmiths. I am a desendant of James Mack Bean and trying to find his father and mother.
In the book Tennessee Convicts: Early Records of the State Penitentiary, Vol I, 1831-1850 by Charles A. and Tomye M. Sherrill, I found the following:
page 117 - George Bean. From Hamilton County. Crime: murder second degree. Sentence: 21 years from 2 Dec. 1842. Rec'd 14 Dec. 1842. He is 32 years old, 5'7 1/2" high, weighs 168 lbs. Born in Grainger and bro't up in Hamilton Co., Tenn. He has a wife but no children living with her brother-in-law in Ocoa [sic,, Ocoee] Dis't on the Tennessee River about five miles from Blythes ferry, his name is Moses Atchela. Has three brothers and five sisters living in the above county. He has three children by his first wife living with his brother-in-law in the same settlement that his wife lives in. Said Bean has dark hair, hazle eyes and dark skin. Has an uncle by the name of Jesse Bean living near where the counties of Wayne and Fentress joins Kentucky. Has also an uncle by the name of Edmond Bean who did live in Nashville, a blacksmith by trade. He has a scar on the instep of the left foot cut by an axe. [Ledger 45, p. 166]
