John W. Bean, 1st Alabama Volunteers, Calvary

The above Civil War Unit was comprised mostly of Northern Alabama men who supported the Union. James W. Bean,Co. C, is believed to have been one of these troopers; however I cannot find any references to his place of birth,bd,parents, dd, etc. He could have been born else where, possibly Illinois, then transferred to AL. However, I feel that he enlisted in N. Al. Any info re: this man is most appreciated. Cordially, Fred Bean
