Hi Vita;
Thank you for your response to my query. I have no idea what Elizabeth's maiden name was or the first name of her Beamish husband.

the family lore states that the Beamish family were very upset with her marriage to Samuel Burchell as he had been employed as a hired hand by her first husband's family. I presume that they considered Samuel below
their social status.
She moved with her new husband and her two son's, one of whom was named John, to Merrickville, which is near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Her son, John, was the father of George Henry Beamish who is the great grandfather, on the maternal side, of my husband, William Donald McKibbon.

I wish I had more concrete info, but the family has never gone any further back on the Family tree.

Any information or thoughts on where I might continue my search would be most appreciated.

Thank you again, Vita

Donna McKibbon
