I am trying to locate information on Jacob Beaman - born about 1848-49 to Mahala Jane Stephens and Laban (Labon, Laborn)Beaman. His parents & the children lived in Morgan/Owen/Indiana. I can find census information on Jacob for 1850 & 1860 in Morgan/Owen/Indiana. A 1870 Census has him working on a farm owned by his married sister Margaret Ellen Beaman (married to Russell Clinton Casida) in Linn County, Kansas. Jacob's brother Lockey was also listed on that same Census. I don't know what happened to Jacob after 1870. It would help if I knew for sure what Jacob's middle name or initial was - there are several Jacob Beamans in the vicinity. After the 1870 Census - His brother Lockey married in Kansas and moved to Sterling/Rice/Kansas. Does anyone have info to share?
