Hi Joyce.
My name is Gloria D. Lee. My genealogy traces through Ezekial and Polly Beaman to Mary Jane Beaman to my grandmother, Lena(daughter to Mary Jane and Lucius Minor Oziah) to my mother, Margaret Kathleen Morse(daughter of Clement Edward Morse and Lena Marie Oziah.
With regard to Martha, no one wants to go there to give information. My source of Beaman info, Ercell Shields, died this last year. He tried to get information on Martha from the cousin who runs the library in the town where there are many Beamans and a school etc. She was unwilling to comment.
The story I had from my mother etc. is that the husband thought Martha was trying to poison him and he shot her. Whether this is true or not I couldn't say without corroboration from the other cousins and great aunts.
For other information I have on Beamans, I can look in my records.
