Gamaliel was born abt 1623 but not in America. He came to America in 1635 on the Elizabeth and Ann. He was only about 12. Legend has it that there were 5 Beaman brothers who all came over at seperate times, Gamaliel being just one of them. The other Gamaliel listed as the father has never to my knowledge been proved. I have a book that traces the Beaman geneology from Gamiel to the early 1900's.
