According to the Beaman and Clark Genealogy, Emily Beaman Wooden, 1909, The existence of Joseph is questioned, or the possibility suggested that he died in infancy. The Dorchester Church records Show four children of Gamaliel Beaman and Sarah Clark baptized on June 15, 1657 vis: Thomas, John, Gamaliel and Mary. Sarah is recorded as baptized on March 20, 1658. The stated ages of the children are questioned by later records, as well as the birth order. All sources that I have found agree that Noah, Thankful, and Mehitable were children of Gamaliel and Sarah, and were born in Lancaster.
I am descended from their son, Thomas, and would be interested in corresponding with others connected to this family, including collateral lines. There seems to be a great deal of information available on this family, and some clarity of information is likely possible if we put it all together.
