First to answer your question about Matilda Samford. Ezekiel Beam out of the John Teeter Beam line is the one that married Matilda. They moved on into Texas. I believe it was Shelby County. Our Ezekiel, out of the line from Johan Henrich Beam (Bohm) first wife is not known. We do know that He married Lettie Compton later in life and had a few kids with her.
Yes Hiram and Byron were twins. On the census' you will find Hiram living with Byron in, I believe Dallas Texas. I only have the name of Byron's kids, but have not had the time to expand them. Thanks for the information on the name of the "infant" listing on the census.
Sorry, I couldn't help more, but the Beam's in our line are really at a stand still with Ezekiels wife's name. He supposedly moved to Marshall and Madison County Alabama in the 1830's, so he may have married in South Carolina where he was born. To top it all off and to further confuse, there were three (3) Ezekiels from South Carolina around the same time. What a mess.
