Looking for the parents of Jacob Beem/Beam who married Elizabeth McMillen in Belmont County OH ca 1810. In his biography printed in the History of Hardin County, OH it states that he was born 9 Sep 1785 in Rockingham VA. and was in Belmont Co, OH by 1803, and in Hardin Co, OH by 1833. Other Beem/Beam families found in Belmont County on the early tax lists are an Elizabeth or Catherine Elizabeth and George and Benjamin.
Any help in identifying these folks would be appreciated. Adding to the confusion is that the census records for 1850 and 1860, indicate he was born in MD and the 1870 says VA. he died in Hardin County in 1872.
Jacob Beam/Beem was my great x 4 grandfather.
