I am looking for anyone researching the Beale family in and around Wellington NZ. William Beale was born in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1838 and lived for sometime in South Australia. He was a tanner by trade. He married his first cousin Jane Beale in 1860. However they left Adelaide c 1868 for New Zealand. They had several children - Mary, William, Herbert, George, Jane, and Ida and several who died as infants.William died in 1908 and his wife died in 1920. My great-grandfather, George Beale, was William's younger brother who lived in Mile End in Adelaide SA. I would love to contact the NZ connection.
