Hi,

I have collated some information on the following surnames Beakey, Beaky, Bakey. Generally these surnames in Ireland have been recorded indiscriminately with the emphasis on phonetic sounding. There are two main centres for the surnames i.e Clare ( on the west coast of Ireland) and Wicklow/Wexford on the east coast of Ireland. Unfortunately our state records only go back as far as 1864 put there are some church records and land records available e.g. Griffith Valuation etc.,

Have you any idea where Mary Beakey originated from in Ireland, or as to what age she was when she emigrated.

Keep in contact,

Denis.
