Hi Carol

My Harriet(t)'s parents were Thomas Tripp born 1786 in Somerset and Amelia Jeanes/James (dob unknown). They were married in 1805 at Bleadon Somerset.

I am fairly sure that Thomas had a brother named John who was older. Thomas and Amelia had the following chn:

Mary Ann, Edwin, Robert, Alfred, Harriett and Mary Ann. They were all baptised at St. Andrew's Banwell

I am descended from Alfred through his marriage to Jane Simpson of Yorkshire. They had Sidney Alfred Tripp in London in 1853, before coming to Australia in 1858. Sidney married Lily Walsh and had my grandmother Avis Mary Tripp in Dubbo in 1905.

At the moment I am going through census records for the chn of Thomas Tripp and Amelia Jeanes/James and have found no trace of Harriett or Martha after 1851 census.

It was a search of mge records that lead me on the Harriett Tripp Beakes trail.

My tree is on genesreunited and also at Plummertree1 on Ancestry UK if you'd like to have a look.

Regards,

Anne
