Seeking contact with descendants of Mary BEADLES & Benjamin HANCOCK and researchers of the BEADLE(S) surname. Very little is known about this family. Austin HANCOCK is their only confirmed son, but strong circumstantial evidence points to the the fact that other sons included William, Joseph, & John.
Does anyone have any information on this family or who the parents/ancestors of Mary are?
Mary BEADLES m Benjamin HANCOCK. Benjamin b ca 1725 York Co., VA - d ca 1802 Hanover Co., VA. Benjamin & Mary are said to have lived and died in Hanover Co., VA. However, a Benjamin HANCOCK is also listed as a Taxpayer in Louisa Co., VA 1782-1787 along with John & Austin HANCOCK.
1. William HANCOCK, possible s/o Benjamin & Mary (BEADLES) HANCOCK, b c1745/1751 VA m 4 May 1775 Orange Co., VA to Jemima BROCKMAN, dau/o Samuel BROCKMAN. He died 1827/1828 in Orange Co., VA, but was also said to be of Culpeper Co., VA. William & Jemima were legatees in her father's (Samuel BROCKMAN) will of Jan. 1792, whose estate was appraised 1814 by Jacob GRAVES. Samuel BROCKMAN married #1 ??? BELL and #2 Rebecker GRAVES, daughter of Susanna & John GRAVES. Children of William HANCOCK and Jemima BROCKMAN:

b. Monroe Beadles (aka Monroe Begels) HANCOCK (Monroe was a witness to a deed in Franklin Co., KY for Thomas Graves HANCOCK, s/o Capt. John & Nancy Ann(GRAVES) HANCOCK)
c. William HANCOCK Jr.
d. Susannah HANCOCK
e. Mary HANCOCK
f. Sarah HANCOCK
2. (Capt.) John HANCOCK, possible s/o Benjamin & Mary (BEADLES) HANCOCK, b 4 Mar 1753 m 7 May 1774 to Ann/Nancy GRAVES. They lived Louisa Co., VA. John HANCOCK, along with Austin and Benjamin HANCOCK, was listed in the 1782-1787 Virginia Tax Payers of Louisa County, VA. Relationship to these Benjamin as father & Austin as brother is purely conjecture at this time.
3. Austin HANCOCK, known s/o Benjamin & Mary (BEADLES) HANCOCK, b 5 Oct 1760 m Ann NUCKOLLS. Austin was taxpayer Louisa Co., VA 1782-1787, and died 1849. Austin HANCOCK, along with John and Benjamin HANCOCK, was listed in the 1782-1787 Virginia Tax Payers of Louisa County, VA.

4. Joseph HANCOCK (Sr.) m Nancy Ann DICKENSON of Louisa Co., VA; & lived Hanover Co., VA.
