This is very interesting. I too am tracing BEADLES in Dukedom TN. My line is BASSIT A BEADLES and his 9 children, Duke is the son who established Dukedom. I have the 1850 census with VT as their birthplace HOWEVER every other census shows NC, a great puzzle to me as I have tried finding VT Beadles with no success.
