Henry Beachley / Beaglor
Henry Beaglor / Beachley (17__ to 1795)
FACT #1 – Henry was naturalized at the Baltimore Reformed Church on Sept 12, 1759 as Heinrick Biegler.
(Colonial Maryland Naturalizations, 2nd printing 1986)
FACT #2 - This would have been done to gain citizenship.
FACT #3 - This means Henry was not born in America and should show up on some passenger manifest. This would also make Henry the 1st Beachley ancestor in America.
FACT #4 – It is documented that the Beachley ancestors arrived on the ship “Samuel of London” in Philadelphia on Aug 11, 1732.Heinrich Boechle is listed as a passenger under the age of 16.(A collection of Thirty Thousand Names, 1965)
FACT #5 - Henry Beaglor had to be born either before or after the ship “Samuel of London” arrived in America.
If it was before, he should be listed on the ship’s manifest.
If it was after, he should have already been a citizen, making naturalization unnecessary.
Up to this point, most people thought that Henry was the son of Heinrich Boechle, who according to the passenger manifest was under the age of 16.For this to be true, Heinrich Boechle would have fathered Henry Beaglor / Beachley some time after arriving to America making Henry a US born citizen.
From the above mentioned facts we know that Henry was not a US citizen or he would not have been naturalized in 1759.Therefore, I propose that Heinrich Boechle was actually Henry Beaglor as a very young child. (Under age 16 as stated in the passenger manifest)
If this is indeed true, Henry would have had to be young when he arrived because he and his wife Catherine had 7 children from 1754 to 1763.
