Dr. Woster Beach, Widow Washburn, and Joseph Deremore

There is an old letter that says in 1770 in CT Joseph Deremore married Widow Wasburn, maiden name Sarah Beach, sister of Doctor Woster Beach of New York. I have found a Dr. Wooster Beach born in 1794. Could he have a sister who was married in 1770?

I also found a Samuel Washburn who married a Sarah Beach in 1741 and died in 1760. But it didn't include her parents or siblings. This Sarah could have then married Joseph Deremore in 1770, but she would have been nearly 50 and not likely to have more children. But they had a son and a daughter.

Does anyone have information that could help sort this out? We have always thought that our ancestor Sarah Beach was daughter of Nathan Beach and Jemima Curtis.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Bill Peterson
