"CHARLES THEODORE BEACH, "Chuck," was born May 17, 1898, in Catskill, New York.
"His father, Theordore B. Beach, was born March 28, 1847, in Catskill, where he is in the insurance business for himself.Mrs. Beach, who was Georgia Thompson of Catskill, died there February 21, 1910.There are two other sons in the family.
"Churck prepared at the Catskill High School, and at one time was a member of the Class of 1921 at the University of Pennsylvania, where he belonged to Phi Gamma Delta.At Sheff he took the Select Course, and belonged to Phi Gamma Delta and Vernon Hall.John McG. Warder (1921 S.) was his roommate.
"Chuck entered service in May, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; was stationed at the Naval Training Station, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; transferred to the Naval Air Station at Miami, Florida; and held the rank of Chief Quartermaster, U. S. Naval Flying Corps, when he was assigned to inactive duty November 22, 1918.
