In my family photos I have found two pictures that say on the backs that E.A.Beach is the half brother of Arthur Borland (who was the youngest brother ofFred L. Borland , my paternal grandfather) These pictures were originally in the possession of a daughter of Arthur Borland, of Omaha Nebraska.
One is a picture of a man alone and the name E.A.Beach is on the front and handwritten on the back is "presented to Susan Aldrich by her affectionate friend, E.A.Beach."and in a different handwriting, written at a later date it also says "an Aldrich family at Ft. Calhoun (Neb.) just friends" ..
The second picture is of a manholding a small child with a girl standing beside the chair. it says on the back Eugene A.Beach,W.J. Beach and sister Belle. This photo was taken in San Antonio Texas. It also says that E.A. Beach was the first husband of Martha Jane Hill of Michigan, who married my great grandfather, James L. Borland. He was born in N.Y. around 1818.
James L.and Martha Jane Borland were the parentsof Frank Borland, b. about 1859, Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska, Fredrick L. Borland born 1865, Council Bluffs Iowa, Charles (d. as a child?), and Arthur Borland b. Omaha Nebraska.
Is any of this familiar to you?It appears that Eugene A. Beach was the son of my great grandmother and Mr. Beach and that is the extent of my knowledge of them. Will you let me know if you know of these people.. thanks Patricia of Gig Harbor, Washington.
