Thanks for your response. Regarding Elizabeth Renfroe, wife of Madison Turner (or Turner Madison), have you any additional information on her or can you suggest where I can go for additional info?
My father had heard of a link in our ancestry with native Americans from my grandfather. When I received a copy of Elizabeth's photo while visiting Butler, GA a few years ago I was struck by her high cheek bones, straight black hair and dark eyes(all this seemingly apparent even though the photo is of poor quality).
Have you heard of any other links that may account for this "family lore"?
