Gary, the Thomas Jefferson Bazemore that I can find in this book that relates to the date you mention was born March 6, 1745 and died January 23, 1837. He was born in Bertie County, NC and moved to Putnam County, GA then to Jones County, GA. The next two Thomas Jefferson Bazemores are: one born January 24, 1824 and died January 10, 1891; the other was born October 26, 1812 and died February 24, 1870. My husband is descended from the 1812-1870 TJ. His great-grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Bazemore who was born in 1842 and died in 1920. The one from my husband's grandfather kept the Thomas Jefferson Bazemore going for several generations. The Thomas Jefferson Bazemore born in 1842 wrote a book of sermons and has a brief autobiography in the beginning. He describes his Civil War experiences and how he felt at Appomatox Courthouse on April 9, 1865. He also mentions other things such as his mother's, grandmother's, etc. maiden name. That has been a great help. There is also a Bazemore genealogy book that put together in or around 1986. The name that I have to contact is in the book. If you want it, e-mail me directly and perhaps they may have an even newer one now. The Bazemores update the GA genealogy every so often, I think.
