Did you know there is a Bazemore genealogy book? It was put out by the Bazemores from that area of Georgia. There are some mistakes in it but it is overall accurate.
My husband's Mother is a Bazemore. She is not from there. She is from Atlanta. Her daddy was from Harris County but his daddy was from that Jones County group. She gave me a copy and it has been done twice. The copy I have is from 1986. There maybe a newer one--I don't know.
My husband's g-grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Bazemore and we even have books of sermons written by him. It has some genealogical information in it about names of the people who came from NC and VA. I believe they included part of that in the book.
I have all kinds of information about the Bazemores who spread out from that area because of the book. Check and see if you can locate one.
If you want some information, I can supply it because I have a lot information in that book. Believe it not, it is about a half-inch thick. It has picture of the cemetery and lone graves elsewhere. Hope this helps. I can also snail mail you info.
