I believe that Nancy E. Rice was married to Abisha Bazemore before she married Thomas Hoggard. In his will, Thomas Hoggard mentioned that he wanted "John T. Bazemore and David Bazemore to remain with their mother for as long as they wish." His wife was named as Nancy E. Hoggard.
After Thomas Hoggard died, Nancy E. Rice Bazemore Hoggard married James N. Bazemore, the nephew of Abisha and son of Abisha's brother, James.
As for Abisha's wives, I believe they were four; Keziah Chappell, Polly Oliver, Elizabeth Thomas Williams and Nancy E. Rice.
In 1853, Amelia Mizells married Abisha Bazemore, the nephew of your Abisha and son of Abisha's brother, Perry. The first Abisha, the uncle, was still married to Elizabeth Thomas Williams in 1853 and having children with her.
