Jesus Bazan was my grandfather. He was born in 1906 on the historical South Texas "La Mota" ranch. He was a hilarious man and loved his "cafe." Unfortunately he passed away April 16, 2004. But his sister Tia Mele is living in San Diego, Tx. If its the same man, Mexico and Texas were virtually one of the same at that time. My father tells me stories of how his father had to protect themselves from Indians. My Tia Mele might be able to tell you where Guadalape was born? But she's very old and in a nursing home.
