I d say we are related but there is something in your post that is throwing me. Your Grandfather was born in 1915 but Great grand father 1912?
The 1901 cencus has the following for Killawalla (townland name Ballyburke)
"Bridget BAYNES 50 Farmer Widow Michael 27 Ellen 24 Maggie 20 Anthony 14 William 12".
This could add up to be your Great grandfather??
If so, that Anthony is my grand fathers brother. My grandfather, James, is not at home because he is on the census at the family home where I am now which is a shop in Castlebar where my father and all his family were born. It is very interesting with the Baynes' as the Christian names have survived generations and all over the world with people that have never met.
Are we getting closer? If you think so, I can dig a bit into my records and if we are right, you have a lot of relations in Mayo and Ireland.
