Just on the chance that there's a connection here - My 2nd ggrandfather was William Henry Bagley b. ca 1819 GA, m. Mariah ? b. ca 1814 GA or AL. In one census record, I found him as William Bayley. Haven't been able to find his nor her parents. Don't know her maiden name. Wondering when your William Henry was born and where. Mine was living in TX by 1849 adn died there between 1879 and 1883. Had a son, William Henry Bagley, born that year. That William had a son, my grandfather, Mack Sanders Bagley. Possible name change? It's been my most difficult puzzle (20 years), and the one I'm most committed to solving (maybe even obsessed). Bagley was my maiden name. Thanks for any info you may have to share.
