Been a long time since we corresponded. I found a copy of Americana Illustrated 1934 recently and article by M.M.Lewis, Glen Rock, NJ wrote: I. John (1) Baylor (Bayleaur, Bayler,) merchant, was born Tiverton, Devonshire, England, probably about 1560, and died prior to 1621. He married and had: 1. Jane (whose surname is recorded as "Bayle"), born about 1590; married, April 11, 1621, Lambert Rogers. 2. John (2), of whom further...Says John owned property in VA as early as 1650.
Robert born in Tiverton about 1652-55, came to VA about 1676; married about 1700. 3. James, born about 1658, emigtrated to VA about 1676 and removed to PA and married there.John (3), son of John (2) was born in Tiverton, in 1651 and died in 1721. Accompanied by brother Robert and probably by brother James came to VA about 1676, setting first in Gloucester County.
John (3) married in 1696 Mrs. Lucy (Todd) O;Brien of New Kent County, VA. Child 1. John (4)
If this is good for you, let me know and I'll send you the whole article.Best wishes.
