According to the information that I have, Col. Robert William Baylor was the commander of Co B of the 12th VA cavalry. He was wounded and taken prisioner and remained in prison until 1864. His son George was then commander of Co B, 12 VA Cavalry. George was later Capt Co H, 43rd VA Cavalry (Mosby's Rangers). Robert W. Baylor died on 2 May 1883 in Charles Town, West Virginia and is buried in the Episcopal Church Cemetery there.
