ELEANOR BAYLISS
I am desperate to break a big brick wall.My grandmother, Eleanor Bayliss was born Oct. 5, 1882, I was told in Northern Ireland - possibly County Armargh. She married James Lennon, in Ireland, in 1900.She was protestant, he was catholic. Both family disowned them. They left Ireland and emigrated to Liverpool, England. They remarried at St. Nicholas Church, Liverpool, in 1902.
Eleanor had six siblings: Joseph, William, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Thomas & Samuel (born 1894).
The Lennon and Bayliss relatives eventually settled in or around Liverpool also.
There was a cousin, Arthur Bayliss, in Widnes, Cheshire. He died last year.I could get no family information from him.
My mother, Sarah Lennon, ran away from home when she was 14 and never remembered any of her mother's family.
If any of these names are familiar or you have any suggestions as to how I should go about tracking the descendants, please, contact me.I would appreciate any information or help that I can get.
I live in Hastings, Minnesota, USA - quite a distance from England.
