The Family Treemaker info indicates that
Euphrasia was born in Vermont, and her husband in St. Louis, MO.
My great great grandfather, Ephraim H Gibson, and his wife, Hannah Howard, had a daughter named Euphrasia who married Marshall Delano.
Theylived in Broome county, NY.
My great grandfather also had a daughter named Euphrasia.
Since this is an uncommon combinations of
names, I suspect there is a connection between the lines.
I do not know where Ephraim H. Gibson was born, or who were his parents.
They could well have originated in Vermont.
I believe his father was one of the many William Gibsons. He named his eldes son
William Harrison Gibson.
I believe they were in Oneida county, NY
prior to moving to Broome county, shortly after the Boston Purchase made land available there.
It is likely our Gibsons descended from John
Gibson of Massachusetts, but of course, I do not know.Just going by name similarities.
There is some sort of tie in with Pennsylvania, too.
Makes one wonder how a girl from Vermont and a boy from MO got together, and what took them South.
If you find any common denominators down the line, I would appreciate your contacting me.
Ruby Gibson White.
