Below is the probate record of Bishop Asbury Bayley, son of Daniel Dodge Bayley and Elizabeth Munson

) PETITION FOR PROBATE OF WILL,
B.A. Bayley,deceased , ) Filed. April 19th,1887.
"In the Matter of the Will of B.A.Bayley,Deceased:
To the Hon.W.W.Cooper,Judge of the above named Court: The petition of T.B.Handley,Zeruiah Large and Delphine Bayley , respectfully shows to the Court ; that the above named B.A.Bayley,died at Tillamook County,Oregon,about April 7th.1887, leaving real andpersonal property in said County of the probable value of $4000,00,and leaving as his last will and testament the instrument hereto attached marked,"Last Will & Testament of B.A.Bayley" and herewith filed. Decedent left no wife nor child nor other descendant surviving him.
The heirs at law of decedent are D.D.Bayley,aged 87 years,residing at Tillamook County,Oregon,Father of decedent:Mianda Smith,aged about 57 years,residing at Washington County,Oregon; Caroline E. Watts,wife of J.W.Watts,aged about 59 years,residing at Yamhill County,Oregon; Zeruiah Large aged abot 49 years,wife of F.Large,residing at Washington County,Oregon, Iola I.Handley,aged about 47 years wie of T.B.Handley, residing at Washington County,Oregon, Delphine Bayley,aged about 44 years,residing at Multnomah County,Oregon; all sisters of decedent,and S.M.Bayley,aged about 24 years and Grant Bayley aged about 21 years both residing at Tillamook County,Oregon,and such brother of the half blood of d ecedent. WHEREUPON your petitioners pray that the aforesaid Will be admitted to probate and that after due proof thereof, these petitioners be appointed executors as therein provided,and such further proceedings be herein had as are by law required.

(Attached is the following Will.) Attorneys for Petitioners.
"Last Will and Testament of B.A.Bayley,of Tillamook County,Oregon."
"I,B.A.Bayley,being in delicate health but of sound & disposing mind do hereby declare,make & Publish this my last Will & Testament,to-wit:
After paying all my just debts I order & direct that all the land of which I shall die possessed with the appurtenances shall go to Mrs. I.I. Handley,one of my beloved sisters,& Mrs. Zeruiah Large,another sister,

equally with the exception of five acres which shall go to Miss.Delphine Bayley,with my forgiveness. Also excepting one acre of land North of the land of William Ralston near the town of Garibaldi,which one acre of land I order & direct shall go to my sister,Caroline E.Watts. I also direct that my sister,Mrs.Mianda Smith shall have one acre of land East of the one I bequeathe to Mrs.Caroline E.Watts. The five acres I intend Miss.Delphine Bayley to have is to be taken from the East and of my land joining the land now owned by Joseph Swahaw & Harry Mitchell.
All my personal property shall be used in the payment of my just debts the balance,if any,to go to my sister,Mrs. I.I.Handley.
I hereby appoint T.B.Handley,Delphine Bayley & Mrs.Zeruiah Large,without Bonds as Executors & Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In Testimony Wherof,I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 5" day of April,1887.

TESTIMONY OF SUBSCRIBING WITNESSES to Will,taken April 19th.1887,before H.H.Downing,Clerk of County Court,Tillamook County,Oregon:
ORDER.
Entered, April 10th.1887. Probate Jnl.l page 17.
Recites the presentation to this Court of the foregoing petition for probate of Will,etc,* * * "Whereupon the Court proceeded to examine I.T.Maulsby,and C.B.Handley,attesting witnesses whose testimony herein is reduced to writing and the Court being satisfied finds the said B.A.Bayley died in Tillamook County,Oregon,April 7" 1887,leaving real and personal property in said County, That decedent on the 5" day of April,1887,executed in due form the Will herein filed and that the same is his Last Will and Testament. Whereupon it is ordered that the said T.B.Handley,Z.Large and Delphine Bayley,be and they are hereby appointed Executors of said Will and that Letters Testamentary be issued to them and that upon taking and filing the oath of their office they be authorized to act as directed by said Will and this cause is continued for

ORDER.
Entered,April 19,1887. Probate Jnl.l page 18;
"Now comes T.B.Handley and filed his oath as executor of the above named Will;
Whereupon it is ordered that notice hereof be given by publication in the Yamhill County Reporter,a weekly newspaper published in the adjoining County of Yamhill and Frank Ekroth,John Johnson and August Anderson are hereby appointed appraisers of said estate and this cause is continued for further proceedings.
