I have been trying to do my son's family history for a while now and my Father in law is not being very cooperative (He thinks the past is the past and why bother with it) And since we aren't going to be back in the states for a while I'm hoping someone here can help.

I know the family grew up in Ohio but the Bayes family supposedly came from Ky or Tenn.
I have no idea who Raymond's parents are or anthing above that. Anyone I ask just say they were called Ma and Pa Bayes and noone can remember their actual names.
We did also find a burial notice for a Hal Bayes (b 6/13/1918) and (d 1/4/1989) but my husband doesn't remember his connection to the family.
