This sounds like my family. If so, Lillian was the second child of eight. Her father was Adam F. Bayer m. Margaret Jaekle in Washington Co., WI., 16 Sep 1877 (V2,pg 382, Washington Co., WI Marriages). Her gfather, was Peter m. Barbara Gerner from Bavaria? They moved to Dodge Co., MN, c. 1864 and then to Clark Co., SD, in the 1880s. Adam may have gone another route and still ended up being buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bryant, Hamlin, SD.
