This is interesting. There was a Hugh Bay who with wife Margaret and family moved from KY to the St. Louis area about 1801. Hugh bought land in 1802 in St. Andrew, Upper Louisiana. Dr. Tommy West's book, "Some Members of the 18th Century Colonial American BAY FAMILY" (2004) lists 7 children of Hugh and Margaret but no Thomas (This Hugh's brother Thomas was in NE Ohio at the time). Records these folks are found in Franklin County, MO - where Robertsville, MO is located. Would be interested to learn more details about what you have gathered about Thomas II.
