Don - Jennifer noted that David and Jane Bay were buried on the Near farm north of Urbana (Oh). Source for this is "Cemetery Inscriptions of Settlers who came to Champaign County before 1830"; Caroline Nixon & Emma Bolton; typescript and filmed by Genealogical Society of Utah, 1991. Actually, the cemetery referred to is probably northeast of Mechanicsburg, OH where David lived. One Bay researcher who toured the area in 2002 found what he believes is the correct spot, called Hazle (Hazel) Cemetery. He wrote that there are many headstones but the area was grass covered, many stones fallen. He did not see stones for David and Jane, but they may be there. If you are heading to Urbana (for county records) and Mechanicsburg, please contact me directly and I can send you more specific information. There are also some Bays, I think, in Maple Grove Cemetery, which is easily located. The book Jennifer referred to probably has about all anyone knows at this time about David and his gang. Tom Bay, Powell, OH
