Baxter families of Ontario and Monroe Co, NY; Wisconsin

I just posted a database on rootsweb regarding the descendants of John BAXTER of Suffolk Co, England, whose four sons immigrated to the USA between about 1835 and 1854. Three of the sons (John, Samuel and William) and their families lived in New York, mostly in Ontario and Monroe counties. James took his family to Lafayette County, WI.

This database is derived from the work of Bertha Wooden Bonnell, which she completed in 1967. She focused on the descendants of John BAXTER (b. 1799 in England) and mentioned briefly the other three brothers. I have enlarged the work somewhat by following those brothers through census, cemetery, newspaper and vital records.

The database is entitled "baxterjames". To locate it, go to rootsweb.com and search for John BAXTER, b. 1799 in England.
