A William Bawden (1836-1916) married to Elizabeth Steer born and lived on Exmoor. One of five children. His Father was, I believe, John Bawden (1779-1873) married to Mary Milton of withypool, Exmoor (second marriage).
I'm not really into the family genealogy thing, but would be interested to hear if this is of help to you. I have some other members of the Bawden family tree on a roll of wallpaper if you need info regarding his siblings.
