This is Marilyn Roberts [nee Baverstock] born 1951 in London.
I'm just starting out, actually gathering info on the 'other side' of my family history and came across this great site which I've enjoyed reading through. Didn't realise there are so many of us!
So, here's what little I have to add to the list:-
My dad, Sidney Thomas Baverstock, b. 1922 All Hallows, Kent, brought up in Camden/Holloway Road area of London.
My grandparents - Sidney Edgar Baverstock b.1895 possible born and lived in Kent before army service WWI, then Pimlico/Islington, London. Worked as a driver for Rank, Hovis McDougal & Annie Florence Phillips [or could be Smith]born c.1901 possibly Newcastle on Tyne area.
Their last known address in 50s/60s was Holloway Road. No contact after early 1960s when they moved away to Leigh-on-Sea area.
Dad had step/half? sister, Rose.
Additional names I recall are Laura/Louise [Lou], Joyce, Mary, Jack, Brian, Bernard, Shirley & Pamela.
I have evidence that there may be a connection with Baverstocks in Newto[w]n, Hampshire. Also many of these names have a connection with Eggsford but can't find it on map - can anyone help please?
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to help me make further connections.
