Hello !
I'm Christian Baur (*1961) and live in Switzerland, in the french part, near Lausanne,
Olympic capital. Excuse my bad english.

I search contact with persons who know or have informations about the following:
A) and B) are borther of my Gran Grand father:
A) Léon Baur son of Jacob Baur (1839-1877) and Elisabeth Bachmann (1841-1917),
born the 18-05-1866, in La Chaux de Fonds (Neuchatel land), married, had a daughter
Bertha, (who married with Jack James in South Eudid (Ohio)), death before 1917 in
Cleveland. On the death announcement of his mother E. Bachmann (1917), it's notice
that he is dead and had children and little children (enfants et petits-enfants).
B) Oscar Frederic, brother of A), born the 04-07-1864 in La Chaux de Fonds, married,
had children, he is dead before 1917, and his wife and his children was at
Nashwill-Tenn in 1917.
Other Baur who come from Oberhofen am Thunersee (Bern land in Switzerland):
1) Abraham Baur, Notar, son of Johann (*1781 ?1846) and Elisabeth Ritschard (*1777
?1862),born 19-3-1820 in Oberhofen (Bern), married with Magdalena Frutiger
(5-5-1848), and go to America with the passport Nr 8.5397 of 17-5-1873. He go to
America with his wife and his 7 children.
2) Alcide Abraham Baur, son of Abraham (1845-?) and Anna Maria Grutter, leaved
Switzerland (abr. CH) in 1888 .
3) Lina Baur, daughter of Christian Baur Notar (1815-1875) and Catharina Ritschard
(1822-1861), born 19-11-1852 in Oberhofen, leaved CH in 1890.
4) Friederich Baur, son of Jacob (1809-1892) and Magdalena Ritschard (1809-1854),
born 28-04-1850 in Oberhofen, Landworker, go to America with passport Nr 1365 of
27 feb. 1871.
5) Gottfried Baur, brother of 4) born 28-02-1860 in Oberhofen, Landworker, go to
America with passport Nr 2488 of 1 april 1881.(brother of Friederich)
6) Gottlieb Baur (Theophil, Ami too…), brother of 4) and 5), born 09-04-1856 in
Oberhofen, go to America with passport Nr 8.6767 of 1-7-1874.
7) Jacob Baur, son of Jacob Baur (1788-1851) and Anna Frutiger (1792-1847), born
27-11-1814 in Oberhofen, married with Magdalena Rebmann (*1819) at Münsingen, (4
children between 1844 and 1851: Magdalena (*1844), Jacob *1845), Magdalena
(*1847), Christian (*1851) all born in Oberhofen, and go to America with passport Nr
5279 of 18-04-1873 with citation: "Begleitung seine Tochter".
8) Jacob Baur, son of Jacob 7) and Magdalena Rebmann, born 02-12-1845 in
Oberhofen, married with Suzanne-Marie Itten the 24-11-1871 at Speiz (Bern land), 3
children: Jacob (*1873) at Lafayette USA, Luise (*1875) at Monroe USA and Fredda
(*1877) at Monroe USA too, goes to America with passport Nr 3205 of 19-02-1872.
9) Jacob Baur, son of Abraham (?), Businessman, born ~ 1849 in Oberhofen, go to
South America with passport BZ96 Nr 4898 in year 1886.
10) Johann Gottfried (John?), son of Abraham Notar (*1820) and Magdalena Frutiger
(1820-1851), married with Susanna Hertig in 1875, and go to America with passport Nr
1111 of 30-11-1870, with his sister Maria Magdalena Baur who goes to America with
passport Nr 1112 of 30-11-1870 too.
