I am trying to locate information for my gr grandmother.

Johanna Bauman?Baumann/Bowman married Tonjes Kruse
Feb 22, 1865 in Grundy County, Iowa

I have been unable to find her parents.

Known information from Obit translated by the Boykens, census records, deeds and mortgages.

(Obituary in the newspaper "Ostfriesische Nachrichten January 1, 1899" written in German and translated by Ruth and Hans-Georg Boyken for Elaine Burns)
"We let releatives and friends know, that God has decieded, to call our dearly loved mother and grandmother Johanna Kruse nee Baumann, suddenly home out of this time. The reason is not exact known, if it was a heart attack or rheumatism in the left shoulder, about where she sometimes complained, who may have been pulled towards her heart, no physician can say certainly. It would be to hard for us if we would not know that Jesus her redeemer is. At her age of 19 years she searched and found peace in the blood of the lamb. She has seen many hours of tribulation, but HE was with her.
For us she had done what she could do. She was born December 6, 1841 in Oldersum, Ostfriesland, came to America in 1854 and got united in marriage in 1864 to Tonjes (Toenjes) Kruse. The marriage was short, only 14 years. Her husband suddenly was taken from her on December 10, 1878. The marriage was blessed with 6 children. One went home before the parents. As widow she lived 20 years minus 12 days. She died November 28, 1898 at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 22 days. Between 1854 and 1893 she lived in Iowa, since then in South Dakota. The burial took place on Thursday, December 1 on the cemetery of the Germany Baptists. In the church the Baptist preacher O. Olthoff spoke about Matth 24,44 and the presb. preacher Gerth about Offenb 14,13. The mourning survivors Ufe Kruse, W. Kruse, H. Kruse and wife, W. Groenhoff, wife and children, Hilke Kruse Emery, S, Dakota"
