I am new to the internet and have tried twice to get a message on. I descend from John William Bowman b. 1842 in Cumberland Co.to John and Catherine(Longenecker) Bowman. John b.1818 appears to have a father and brother named Christian Bowman of Dauphine Co. When John died in 1848 his sons John William and Benjamin went to live with the Christian Bowman family in Dauphin. Catherine and her youngest son Christian remained with the Isaac Longenecker and Jacob Longenecker families of Cumberland Co. Is the Christian Bowman family of Susquehanna Twp. in Dauphin County one of the families you are researching?
