Hey Terri,
I'm not a bauman but I grew up in Erie and the baumans were friends of my folks way back when....let me put a few feelers out there for you...until then I know they were fairly prominant in erie for a while...you might try looking up the erie historical society on yahoo and the erie daily times at www.goerie.com (i think thats right) would be willing to bet the baumans in erie are indeed related to those in Dubois as many folks from Erie and the surrounding area have origins in the dubois/saint marys area.
