Rupp's list of 30,000 immigrants lists Matteas Baum as arriving from Rotterdam to Philadelphia on the ship Robert & Alice on September 30, 1743. Strassberger & Hinke list the same person as Matteas Brunn. I am researching the family of my 6th great grandfather Johann Theobald Baum of Berks Co., Pa. and find several references where a Matteas Baum is mixed up with Theobald. Does anyone have any history on the Matteas Baum family?
