Alice Baum age 41 was admitted to the Norristown Alms House in PA on 10-02-1903. Records state she was married, pregnant and had a little girl 4yrs old with her named either Mary Bertha Baum or Virginia Baum, Mary Bertha was scratched and Virginia was put it it's place. Records state she had a baby on 12-20-1903 Laura Elizabeth Baum, father unknown, baby died 02-9-1904 from starvation. Alice died there on 7-24-1907, Virginia was adopted out on 9-29-1904 to the Rahn family. Father gave permission for child to be adopted but no name was given. My mother-in-law Erma is the daughter of Virginia. Any information on Alice and who her husband was would help.
