Just got back from a long weekend visiting relatives in Altoona. Made 2 trips to Cambria County: St. Joseph's (Hart's Sleeping Place), St. Michaels in Loretto, and St. Augustine Cemetery. I met a Dr. Bradley at St. Michael's. Him and his wife give the Prince (Father) Gallitzin tours. After talking to him for awhile, I found out that he too is related to Jacob Nagle. He asked if I had read a series of documents put together by an Altoona priest. It's 5 volumes and costs approx. $100, but it contains information about the marriage, births, deaths, and baptism records for all the cemeteries in Cambria County. The Uncle I was staying with in Altoona, and who was also on this little expedition with me, actually works with the priest. What luck!!! He's sending copies of some documents I might be interested in, one being, the marriage records of Jacob NAGLE to Honor (Martha) BAUM. I'll send you copies if you like.
