William Baum b 1850, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, England

Looking for further information about William, son of Joseph Baum and Elizabeth Gillever who lived in Leicestershire. Elizabeth re-married Samuel Crooks in 1857. Her son William, married Elizabeth (Clarke?) and their children were Hannah (b 1870), Ellen (b 1871) and Harry (b 1875).

William was a stone quarrier or sett maker, as part of the family connection with the trade. There was a granite quarry in Mountsorrel, which also owned a quarry in Trefor, Wales. Many made the move to Wales, including some of the Baums.

He may be on the USA censuses as a stone pavier, possibly in Massachusets?? Possibly emigrated between 1881 and 1891.
