My grandmother (father's mother) was Delberta Baum Ellis. Her father was Denton (or Benton) Baum, mother, Maude Small. Delberta (or Bertie as she was called) and her sister, Blanche were twins, born 26 Aug 1872. Delberta, in later life, went by the name of Delberta Ellis, but am not sure she was married. When my father was two years old, she gave allowed her former employer and his wife to adopt him, saying that her husband had died and she had no way of supporting the baby. Delberta's twin, Blanche married Edward Hines. Other siblings of Blanche and Delberta were Claude Baum (married Maud), Victor Baum, Ethel Baum, married George Hopkins, Mark W. Baum (wife Mabel)m and Floyd W. Baum, (wife Suzette). Most of this I learned only in later years after getting my father's adoption papers. Can anyone help me find out more about this family? My maternal grandmother corresponded with Delberta for years until her death, and Delberta left an insurance policy to help raise me, but I didn't know who she was until many years later in life. I would love to find a picture of her and to learn more about her. Please help.
