sounds like there could be a connection here. Peyton and Nancy went into Talladega Co. before moving on into the Winston/ Walker Co. area where Peyton became Probate Judge of Winston Co. and was stabbed to death while in office in 1868.
Peyton and Nancy are buried at the Ingle-Wakefield cem. in Lynn Al.

do you know if there is any Native American blood in these Hicks? my paternal grandmother was suppose to have a grandmother who was full blood, but i have yet to find out which one.
