Accordung to a family story George Baughman,first son of David and Catherine (Yike) Baughman b 1857, Roundhead Township, Hardin County Ohio abruptly left home ca.1875 and was not heard from again until many years later at which time he was a minister in Waterloo,Iowa. George supposedly returned to visit his Ohio relations one or more times in the last years of the nineteenth and first years of the twentieth centuries. George had siblings Charles b 1858, Lewis Napoleon b 1860, Melissa Elnora (Meliss) b1862 m George Greentree, Preston b 1864, Silas b 1865, Amos b 1869, and Daniel Sherman b 1871. Does anyone who reads this have any knowledge of this George Baughman or of his family or descendents or know of anyone who may? My Baughman side of the family (descended from Lewis Napoleon) has lost all knowledge and contact with George and his family. Thank you for anything anyone may be able to contribute. This has been a mystery for many years.
